Q - Can I call you to discuss, place my order or ask a question?
A - Of course! Please complete the email form on the contact page, including your phone no & we’ll call you right back.
Q - Are the plate racks treated against water ingress, damp and humidity ?
A - Each rack is treated with a coat of refined Danish oil prior to leaving the factory. This treatment ensures a tough, durable, waterproof finish whilst at the same time enriching the wood grain to provide a beautiful low sheen lustre. The only exception is if you request a painted finish, in which case the plate rack is supplied bare of treatment.
Q - Is it possible to paint the plate racks either in part or in full?
A - We can supply the plate rack in readiness for painting. We recommend an oil based spray paint application which dries much quicker than brushed on paint, plus results in a superior finish. If this is your intention, we can supply the plate rack untreated, please contact us before you place an order.
Q - Do you provide a ‘made to measure’ service ?
A - Yes but only on width (left - right). Alternative widths to the four standard sizes are available, please get in touch for more details.
Q - How do I know what each Formica colour looks like?
A - We can supply samples of Formica laminate colours, simply email us your postal address, the colours in which you’re interested and we’ll send them to you.
Q - How do I fix my rack/shelf to the wall?
A - To attach your plate rack to the wall, we recommend two options:-
Standard Option: A concealed eye hole bracket. These are supplied assembled to all plate racks and are Free of Charge.
Alternative option: A bespoke metal plate (in an Art Nouveau style) made from 2 mm stainless steel. Please get in touch with us if you would like these added to your delivery prior to ordering.
